A painting from the late 1980's by the now deceased Aboriginal artist Barney Daniels. He lived and worked near Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. The picture was purchased in 1991 from the leading most art house in Alice. The painting is in original pristine condition. Reasonable offers or (preferably) part exchange of any tribal art would be very welcome. Barney was born Circa 1949 – 1997 at Haast Bluff and of the Luritja Tribe. His mother was an Anmatyerre and father was Warlpiri. Barney worked as a stockman on Halls Creek cattle station & his job was to round up brumbies. He started painting in the early 80’s at Papunya and his unique stippled brushwork, as a background for his main design became his trademark. He was a prolific and talented artist whose artworks have become highly collectable since his death and will continue to appreciate in value.
