Gladstone Pottery Museum in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent - home to the most important group of bottle ovens remaining in the UK. This painting shows one of the ovens - the towering 'biscuit' oven standing proud, in a view taken from the dipping house at the top of the cobbled yard. The style of the painting was influenced by the work of two local Stoke-on-Trent artists, Maurice Wade and Jack Clarkson. Signed on the front, and signed and dated on the back. The framed painting is 43 x 43 cms The frame is in natural wood, unvarnished. Neutral grey colour This comes ready to hang. Shipped in carefully wrapped, safe and sensible packaging.
